With Remembrance Day approaching on November 11, we are taking time to honor Canada’s veterans and frontline workers who have given so much for our country. To support those who served, we’re hosting a donation drive for the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary and invite our community to join us.
How You Can Help: Veterans Food Bank Donations
We are actively gathering food and essential items to donate to the Veterans Food Bank. For the next few weeks, we’ll be collecting donations, which will be delivered to the Calgary location in support of veterans and their families.
The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary plays a crucial role in providing meals and necessities to veterans who have served our country. Donations help ensure these individuals have the support they deserve, especially during the Remembrance Day season.
Urgent Items Needed
The Veterans Food Bank has an ongoing need for specific items to meet immediate demand. If you’re interested in donating, here’s a list of urgent items that would be especially appreciated:
- Non-perishable food items: Canned vegetables, soups, pasta, and rice.
- Personal hygiene products: Toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and deodorant.
- Household essentials: Toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies.
- Gift cards: Grocery and gas gift cards to assist with everyday expenses.
You can find a full list of needed items and other ways to support them on the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary website.
